About JVanish

JVanish is a minimalistic 3D engine for web applications.

It is based solely on standard web technologies:
Javascript, XHTML, CSS and SOAP.

So recent web browsers can view spatial web applications without plug-ins and the front-end is still as text-based as any common webpage.

Project goal

The project's goal is to find a generic and useful XHTML-based 3D widget set, while staying mostly lightweight in an AJAX web environment.

JVanish ist eine minimalistische 3D-Applikation für Internet-Browser.

Es basiert ausschließlich auf den Standardtechnologien des Internets:
Javascript, XHTML, CSS and SOAP.

Somit können moderne Web Browser räumliche Web-Anwendungen ohne Plug-Ins darstellen. Die Oberfläche ist ebenso textbasiert wie jede gewöhnliche Webseite.

Projektziel

Mit JVanish soll ein generisches, auf XHTML basierendes "3D Widget Set" (Bausteine für Benutzerschnittstellen) geschaffen werden. Dabei soll die Anwendung in einer AJAX-Umgebung leichtfüßig bleiben.
